The Chase is the student ministry of Peoples Church. We are dedicated to providing a place for students 6th through 12th grade to belong, regardless of who they are and where they come from. The best part about pursuing Jesus is that we can bring others along for The Chase.

GATHERINGS

Come hang out with us at The Chase! Our gatherings are geared towards 6th-12th grade students, and is a chance to worship, have fun, and build a relationship with Jesus together. Bring a friend, or bring your whole squad to experience the night with you!

Junior high (6th-8th grade)

Wednesdays | Gathering | 6:30-8:30pm | North Lobby Chapel
  Junior High Students will experience a time of worship, games, and an encouraging message at their level! Students will dive deeper into their relationships with Christ and others.

high school (9th-12th)

Wednesdays | Gathering | 6:30-8:30pm | Student Ministry Center
Each Wednesday night High School Students will encounter Christ through worship, community, and a message!

Junior High and High School will meet together every other Wednesday in the SMC Main Room.

breakaway 2026

Breakaway 2026 was a powerful three days of serving, worship, and life-changing moments for our students.


From day one, students showed up with energy and openness, building community through games, worship, and a special message from Derek Carr. As the week continued, they stepped out to serve our city, becoming the hands and feet of Jesus at worksites across the community. Each night brought moments of connection, joy, and growth, including unforgettable highlights like “Breakaway’s Got Talent.”


We closed the final day with powerful worship and a meaningful message from Pastor Jordan, sending students out encouraged, challenged, and expectant for what God will continue to do in their lives.


Breakaway is more than an event, it’s a step forward in helping students know God, grow in their faith, and make a difference.
