women's ministry pastor
Joni was raised in a pastor’s home in Fort Worth, Texas, but it wasn’t until her experience at a church youth camp that she realized she was destined for a life of vocational ministry.
She received her education from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, and in 1986, married Dale Oquist. Joni has faithfully served in various areas of ministry including youth, young adults, and music, but her passion is getting to work with women as they discover who they are in Christ.
Before moving to Fresno, Joni previously held ministry positions in Wisconsin and Washington. Whether teaching Bible studies, developing leaders, or providing areas for ministry, Joni’s desire is to help women connect with God and with each other.
She and Dale have three married children and two grandsons. Joni enjoys time with family, home decorating, and a good cup of coffee.
