It was as a student in the youth group here at Peoples Church that Pastor Dawson heard his call into pastoral leadership.
He quickly began ministering at his high school, starting a Christian Club on his campus, preaching along with a few of his friends at Clovis North, reaching hundreds of students over the course of three years. He went on to get his bachelor’s degree in theology with an emphasis in pastoral leadership at Vanguard University. That was where he first began ministering to college students as a chaplain and an RA. Every Summer of his collegiate career was spent interning at different churches around the country.
Dawson is currently enrolled at Fuller Theological Seminary, pursuing a Master of Arts in Theology with an emphasis in Biblical studies. He believes in a holistic discipleship that encourages a pursuit of Jesus that is spiritual, intellectual, and practical. He hopes to encourage others' growth toward a broader understanding of who God is through a deeper engagement with Scripture.
Pastor Dawson married his wife, Olivia, in 2022. Together, they welcomed their daughter, Emelia, in 2025.
