Today as we wrapped up our service projects and VBS, we think back to all of the days that we spent preparing for this trip and now that it’s coming to an end there is a sense of saddens but also joy.
The first day we all agreed that there was the overwhelming amount of joy in the church we were serving, and it made it so much more energizing to work. While we painted the church swing set, we talked of all the amazing things we saw God do this week. There was joy in all of us as we played worship song after worship song to get through our project. We laughed as we painted the church walls and before you knew it, we were done.
Then we went to the last two homes of the trip for food distribution and learned about the life of this beautiful woman with three teenage daughters. She told us her story and even though we were there to encourage her, she encouraged us. We were able to learn about her life and the amazing things God has done for her and then we prayed over her and her family and then headed to the second home.
Our second home was a woman and her husband. This woman shared with us her story and how her greatest desire was for all her family to know Christ. We prayed over her and her family and rejoiced with her knowing that God will bring them home.
After we finished distributing food. We came back to the church to prepare for VBS. When the kids came, some played tag, some played soccer, and others played volleyball. It was fun to run, play and laugh with these kids. They have so much energy and so much joy.
We did the story of Noah’s ark and told them that we should listen to the Lord and trust his plan for our lives because we know he will protect us and complete his promises. After, the kids made their own rainbows of God’s promises as a reminder.
When we were done we sat and had dinner with the pastors and we shared with them how much they have blessed us. How we felt so much love and joy from their congregation. We encouraged them to keep doing God’s work. They have become a life long friend to all of us.

Today we got to go back to the church we are serving at and do some more volunteer work.
We finished painting the exterior walls of the church and got to do some more cleaning projects around. After we were done with our service projects we had the opportunity to bless some family's in the community by praying over them and food distribution. When we got back to the church we started to prepare VBS for the kids we had a great time getting to know them a little bit more! We got to teach them about Jesus and the storm.
Later on in the night our female teammates were able to join the women's ministry and participate by giving testimonies and bringing the sermon. They also were able to pray over the women's congregation. The Holy Spirit moved very strongly during prayer. As we approach our last day of VBS we pray that we left an impact in their lives.

Today the group proceeded to conduct church service projects such as maintenance and painting. After a few hours of doing service projects we then distributed food to families in need. We talked about our own stories of how we came to Christ and testimonies of what the Lord has done in our lives. Then proceeded to pray for the families and encourage them to attend church and seek the Lord in their everyday lives.
Soon after we conducted VBS for the children of the church. One of the skits we did for them was David and Goliath. Then we did arts and crafts based on the message of skit. After, we played some sports, spent time with the kids, and wrapped up our day by having a moment to pray for each other.
We look forward to seeing what God has in store for us the next day!

This morning we had the opportunity to meet with the local pastor of the church we’ll be serving this week. We also took the time to go on a prayer walk through the neighborhood, asking God to move in the hearts of the community.
During Sunday service members of our team got to share testimonies. As well as receive prayer from church congregations , as we prepare for the week ahead. We also had the opportunity to teach Sunday school. It was a undeniably moving and powerful.
We ended the day by preparing for tomorrows food distribution, Service projects and Vacation Bible Study. We are expectant of what God will do though us and the people of Enseñada, Mexico. We thank you for your continuous prayers. “
