Covid-19 Update

In light of any speculation regarding if Peoples Church will be open for gatherings this weekend, we want to give you some very important updates. Please take the time to read the following in its entirety.

1. We continue to pray for our leadership at all levels, whether or not we stand in agreement with their decisions. Our desire has always been to work with our community and civic leaders in any way that we can to represent Jesus in our community, state, and world. These leaders are being forced to lead in the midst of very difficult circumstances and at times when there seems to be no correct answer. Our prayer is that our leaders know Peoples Church is praying for them and they feel God and His leading even now.

2. We will continue our online gatherings at 6pm on Saturday, and 9am and 11am on Sunday every week. We broadcast these gatherings on our website, as well as our Facebook page and our YouTube channel Please utilize these options and let your friends and family know they exist. This broadcast is the same message that takes place inside the Auditorium but is tailored specifically for our online audience. If you have yet to watch one of these offerings you are missing an incredible blessing!

3. We will continue our indoor gatherings at 9am and 11am in the Auditorium. We will also continue with our Classic gathering in the G.L. Johnson Chapel at 9am and our Spanish-language gathering, PCE, at 11am in the Chapel. There is full children’s programming from birth through 6th grade as well at both 9am and 11am. We do want you to know that we are making a few adjustments and additions to our already rigorous and thorough cleaning and sterilization activity. We are requiring all of our staff and key frontline volunteers to wear masks at all times, with the only exceptions being when they are communicating from the platform or leading in singing. We are also humbly requesting and firmly recommending that all attendees do the same. We are fully aware that people have many different opinions about masks but we do not want this to in any way cause those concerned about masks to miss the opportunity to be present and experience the gospel of Jesus Christ. We ask that you would help us make the worship experience as open and welcoming as possible. The apostle Paul said, “I become all things to all men to win some.” So let’s all work together and focus on what is important representing and proclaiming the good news of Jesus.

4. We are not closing, but we are taking many precautions and scaling back our on-site activity during these days. Please stay up to date by regularly viewing our website at and following us on our social media platforms. Also, our offices remain open for any questions or needs you may have.

Thank you for all your prayers and support during this season, and we are excited to see all that God is doing and will do in these days.

Full speed ahead!

We have many ways for you to engage with us as a faith family online. Our website, has a live feed of all three gatherings (
