We are going to be talking about the Holy Spirit and the power that is given to us to fulfill the great commission. We are following the life of Peter from the arrest of Jesus to the trial before the Sanhedrin. We will see that a coward received the Holy Spirit and his life was changed. This enabled him to fulfill the promise made by Jesus in Acts 1:8, “You will receive power…and you will be my witnesses.” The power allowed Peter to do what Jesus commanded them to do in the Great Commission.

Helping kids see God and participate in his redemptive story.

PC Kids is a children’s ministry uniquely designed with your child in mind. We desire for each child to see God and participate in His redemptive story. Kids, birth through sixth grade, experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. Join the fun and experience a world where kids meet Jesus on their level.

Special Needs

We have an amazing program for kids with Special Needs. This ministry provides a unique learning opportunity for those children who may need a little extra attention or struggle with large group classes. During our 9:15 gathering, we have a room located in our Nursery/Preschool area that is staffed with amazing, loving  volunteers who will share the love of Jesus with our kids in a more personal way. During our 11:00 and 12:30 gatherings, our volunteers are available to “buddy up” for those parents who would like to integrate their children into mainstream classrooms. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact pckids@peopleschurch.org

Volunteer Opportunities for PC Kids

Our amazing team of volunteers work year round to provide a fun, creative, safe and purposeful environment for kids. We desire to connect kids with their friends, connect kids with leaders who care, and connect kids with God. We have two different types of teams that work for PC kids: With Kids Leaders and For Kids Leaders. Our With Kids Leaders serve in our Nursery, Preschool and Elementary areas. These leaders work directly with kids. Then we have our For Kids Leaders serve the ministry behind the scenes making sure that the ministry runs smoothly. Even if you don’t like kids, there is a place for you to serve in PC Kids!

For Kids Positions:

  • Welcome Team – Enjoy meeting new people? This team could be the place for you!
  • Media Team – Is technology your forte? This might be the right fit!
  • Set up Team – This team has a lot of fun prepping for the weekend!

With Kids Positions:

  • Nursery Team Leader – Want to hold babies, cuddle them, and rock them? This is the area for you!
  • Preschool Team Leader – Want to jump around in a bubble dance party? Then join this amazing team!
  • Elementary Team Leader – Want to have a ton of fun then lead a small group? Elementary could be your spot!

You and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the nametag portion of your matching identification tags, which bears a code that is matched to your portion during checkout at the end of the service.

During checkout, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

Age Appropriateness

We are passionate about children learning about Jesus in a way they understand. Our environments and lesson materials are created based on the physical, mental and emotional needs of each child.

Kids will come together in a large group setting for a time of worship, drama, and Bible lesson. They then break into small groups to go more indepth with the lesson and have a time of prayer.

Safety

We believe that safety is vital as families entrust us with their children each week. Therefore, every child’s nametag is matched to a parent-identification number; every volunteer is screened with a federal background check.
