3Sixteen (Peoples Church Choir)

Leading the way in worship! More than singing an anthem on Sunday, 3Sixteen is about finding a place to belong. You’ll connect with people of all ages, from high school seniors to senior citizens…from those who have journeyed with Christ for many years to those fresh in their new-found faith…from musical pros to those who simply sing for the joy of it.

What’s Involved

- Participate in a fast-paced musical rehearsals with inspirational instruction and interactive fellowship: Wednesday evening, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
- Focus our thoughts and review music: Sunday morning, 7:30 a.m.
- Lead our church family in worship: Sunday services, 8:00 and 9:30 a.m.
(Also 11:00 a.m. on the first Sunday of the month.)
- Celebrate special seasons of the year: Productions and Musicals

How to get started

Just show up for three rehearsals! We’ll be ready to welcome you in the Choir Room located in the Worship Ministries Center. Convenient child care is provided.

Bells of Praise

Bells of Praise welcomes you to join this unique ministry whose aim is to foster growth in music, worship, and service. Adults of all ages receive rich blessings through ministry and are great sources of encouragement to our church family and the community.

Drama

Through an illustration, short sketch, or even a full length play, the Drama ministry is more than simply performing; it’s proclaiming the truths of God’s Word. If you have a ministry desire either on the stage (actors and actresses) or off (scenic design and construction, stage crew, costuming, decorating, etc.), consider joining us.

Joyful Noise Children’s Choir

Pure worship from the heart of our kids. It’s fast-paced, energetic, and age-appropriate! Through carefully selected songs that combine the pleasure of music with the power of worship, kids are not only exposed to the ABCs of music, but also learn the joy of freely expressing their love for the Lord... a skill that will last beyond their lifetime! Performing highlights include the honor of singing in Sunday services and featured involvement in the Peoples Church Christmas Production. The grand finale of the year is a full-length musical presented in May.

LightStream

LightStream is a contemporary musical group whose focus is summer missions work as well as local ministry through the year. College students and young adults with instrumental or vocal ability are encouraged to audition.

Media Ministries

Help provide mid-week motivation and enhance the listening experience of others by partnering with media ministries. We need your people skills and half an hour on Sunday.

Orchestra

Praise the Lord on the trumpet, trombone, violin, flute…instrumentalists blending their gifts and talents while leading in worship is the driving motivation for our orchestra. Want to be a part of this vital team of players? Call the Music Department and we’ll set up a time for you to audition.

People of Praise

People of Praise sings the old, well-known hymns of the chuch in convalescent hospitals and on special occasions.

Scene Shop

Whether you are skilled in set construction or simply willing to learn, we encourage you to join us! The Scene Shop is located on the northeast corner of the campus, (Building 8) and is used for constructing scenery used in productions throughout the year.

Technical Services

Are you gifted with a “technical” mind? Do you enjoy working “behind the scenes”? There are exciting opportunities for assisting with our services on many fronts. Audio, Video, PowerPoint, Tape Ministries, and Stage Lighting are integral parts of every worship service. If your experience is limited, training is available.

Youth Handbells

Playing handbells can be a fun way to develop musical ability. Opportunities are available to perform for church family and at other community events.
