Ladies Latte & Lit Book Club A Morning with Kim Vogel Sawyer
Come meet award-winning author Kim Vogel Sawyer, speaker, author of over 28 books, singer of songs and lover of chocolate…but most important, a born-again child of the King! Hear her share the miraculous story of her healing from a life-long burden of pain and shame.

Spring Brunch
Join us on Saturday, May 11, 10:00 am – 12:00 noon for our annual Spring Brunch at Copper River Country Club. Our speaker, Bonnie Keen returns to us from Nashville, TN! Last year’s retreat speaker, a recipient of three Dove Awards, five Grammy nominations, and an Emmy nomination, survivor of divorce, single parenthood, and depression, she speaks hope to others from first hand experience of God’s mercy. Her joy is contagious and her ongoing passion remains to say ‘nothing is wasted’ to those who find themselves discouraged when life turns upside down. Tickets are $20, available in Women’s Ministries or at a kiosk on Sundays.
Phemom Conference ~ Girl on Fire
Young moms, invite your friends to our first Phemom conference, hosted by Joni Oquist and the Phemom team. Friday, May 17 & Saturday, May 18. Speaker Robia LaMorte Scott was a professional dancer and actress in Hollywood, working with recording artists such as Prince, and television shows like Beverly Hills 90210 and CSI. Robia was saved in 1997, and now travels the country speaking at churches and conferences. Robia’s teaching style is dynamic yet relatable. She has a profound ability to break down the Bible in a way that gives practical application to empower women in their walk with the Lord. Her ministry emphasizes freedom, healing, and experiencing the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit in a deeper way. There will also be 10 workshops for moms to choose from. When God’s Spirit Moves. You are invited to join us on Wednesday mornings for a great study by Jim Cymbala, award-winning author and Pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle. Learn about can do in and through your life. Tuesday Morning Bible Study
Are you a homeschool mom needing a class for yourself? Or someone who has Tuesday mornings free for a Bible study? Join us on Tuesdays at 9:30 am in the North Lobby Chapel, with a study by Beth Moore, A Woman’s Heart, God’s Dwelling Place. This is an exciting study of the Tabernacle and how it applies to our lives today.

Healing from Sexual Abuse

How to Be Faithfully Fit
A class for healthy weight loss, incorporating spiritual support and a balanced eating plan to maintain a lasting, fit lifestyle. If you like to read good Christian books and would enjoy discussing it with others, Ladies Latte & Lit is for you! Our new format features a “Book of the Month,” including pieces of fiction and non-fiction. We have occasional Saturday brunches, as well as a Tuesday evening discussion each month. (Child care will be available during Tuesday evening sessions by reservation through PC Women’s Ministries.)
Our current selection is apowerful novel by Bodie and Brock Thoene, The Gathering Storm. Read this great story, then join us on Tuesday, May 28 from 7:00-9:00pm in the Peoples Church Student Ministries Cafe for discussion. There are always great refreshments, a presentation of interesting background about the book, fun ice-breakers and time for our book discussion. Please invite a friend! And MARK YOUR CALENDAR! Help us provide luncheons for families and friends following memorial services. No experience necessary. It’s a great way to serve those in need. Various opportunities available.
Boutique
Use your creative gifts and talents in preparation for our annual Holiday Boutique. Proceeds go for special church projects and missions. We spend Thursday mornings together, working on crafts and making new friends. 9:00 am, Multi-Purpose Room .Our annual Holiday Boutique on November 3 was a huge success!
Dorcas Piecemakers
A small group of women have a wonderful time of fellowship while making quilts for the Fresno Rescue Mission, children’s shelters, and nursing homes. No experience necessary. Second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, 9:00 am in Room 204.
