12:30 pm Gathering

Our goal in Encounter is to bridge the gap between the world we live in and the reality of the Christian faith. This gathering features a more progressive style of worship and an inspiring, relevant message by Pastor Dale Oquist.

What to Expect

Whether you’ve attended church your whole life or never stepped foot in one before, we know it’s not easy visiting a church for the first time. Here’s some information that should help:

At a Sunday gathering you can expect:

  • Each of our three gatherings last approximately an hour and fifteen minutes.
  • Thought-provoking and engaging message that is Bible-based.
  • A time of contemporary and engaging worship music.
  • A fun and safe environment for your kids: 9:45am and 11:30am (we encourage you to arrive 15 minutes early).

How should I dress?

Peoples Church is a “come as you are” church. We want you to feel comfortable and to be more focused on who you’re worshiping than what you’re wearing. In the summertime, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a t-shirt.

Most people dress casually though a few still prefer to put on their “Sunday best.” We think you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.

Will I be asked to give money?

If you are a guest, please do not feel any obligation to give. We believe giving is an act of worship wherein those who have a personal relationship with God through Christ, give regularly and generously in response to God’s gracious gifts.

What is available for my kids?

PC Kids is a fun, interactive, and stimulating environment intended to fill children with the wonder of knowing God, loving Him, and serving others. Every child, birth through 6th grade, receives biblical instruction consistent with their age through individual and focused attention.

Our teachers go “all out” to make their weekend time a vibrant, creative, Christ-centered experience. Truth is communicated “hands-on,” stimulating kids to experience the realities of the Bible and the Christian life for themselves.

PC Kids is offered during the 9:00 am, 10:30 am & 12:30 pm gatherings on Sunday morning. To check in your child visit the Children’s Welcome Center south of the auditorium.

A volunteer will help you through the process and provide you with a receipt sticker which you will need in order to pick up your child. This helps us know that you are authorized to pick up your child.

For more information visit the PC Kids page.

Do you have something for students?

Building upon the foundations established through Children’s Ministries, Peoples Church Student Ministries (PCSM) is a place for 7th-12th grade students to feel welcomed, embraced, encouraged and equipped.

“Relational, high energy, engaging, interactive, and biblically relevant,” would be a few words to describe our ministry with students. In environments where they can have fun and engage with the truth, our aim is to help students make their faith their own.

PCSM is a safe place to wrestle with hard questions…and a challenging place where a student’s faith is developed, strengthened, and stretched.
