Thanks for visiting our PC Women’s Page! My name is Joni Oquist and I have the extreme privilege and blessing of leading the women of our faith family. I grew up in a Pastor’s home (and then married a Pastor!) and cannot stress enough the value of being connected to a loving church community. It’s really where we learn to live the life God intended for us through the study of His Word, development of our spiritual gifts, and formation of lasting relationships.
PC WOMEN’S WINTER BIBLE STUDIES
After a break for the holidays, our PC Women’s Winter Bible Study classes will resume on January 16 with “No Other Gods” by Kelly Minter.
In this 8 – session study you will learn to identify the gods you may be unknowingly serving and the lies they tell you. As you dethrone your modern-day idols you’ll be set free to enjoy the abundant life Jesus gives. You’ll discover Jesus can do what no other god can.
Our classes meet on Wednesdays from 9:30 – 11:15am in the Student Ministries Center or 7 – 8:30pm in the Jackie Johnson Room. We use a round table, small group format that encourages discussion, friendship, and prayer.
Registration is $15 and includes a workbook and refreshments. Child care is provided for those attending the evening classes.

Latte & Lit Book Club
Our first selection of 2019 is a dramatic read by best-selling, award-winning author Robert Whitlow entitled Time to Stand. When an African American lawyer is taped to defend a Caucasian police officer accused of shooting an African American teen, tensions grow in a Georgia community. This highly relevant and gripping novel challenges us to ask what it means to forgive while seeking justice, and to pursue reconciliation while loving others as ourselves.
Join us on Tuesday evening, January 29 at 6:30pm in the Multi-Purpose Room for a spirited discussion of the events surrounding this story. In addition, enjoy lattes as well as the unveiling of the book list for the New Year!
The Precepts class follows the inductive Bible study method taught by Kay Arthur. Our next session will begin January 16. This session we will be studying Galatians followed by Daniel Part 1. Classes are taught by Leslie Gulke on Wednesdays from 9-11:30am in the Jackie Johnson Room. We listen to the DVD by Kay Arthur during the second hour of class.
This class is for those who have suffered sexual abuse and want to work through the effects of the abuse and pursue healing. It offers a small support group where time is spent sharing and discussing our text, Mending the Soul by Steven Tracy. Contact Barbara Solis at firstname.lastname@example.org or 559.298.8001 ext 267
In small confidential groups, this 12-week Bible study is an opportunity to examine your experience, identify the impact of the loss, and acknowledge feelings and beliefs you may struggle with. Because of the emotional numbness and secrecy that often surrounds this experience, conflicting emotions can later emerge as symptoms of post abortion trauma. We learn to apply Biblical principles to those symptoms as we look to God for genuine and permanent healing. For more information, please contact Rhonda: email@example.com
Tuesdays – 6:30pm-8pm
Are you are overcome by various circumstances in life, struggling with depression, or do you feel as though no one understands what you are going through? If so please join this confidential small group for support and Bible study. We utilize Max Lucado’s book, You’ll Get Through This, a 9-week study that offers discussion and encouragement from those that understand your struggle first hand. You may feel broken, but God has an amazing purpose for your life!

If you frequent stores like Jo-Ann’s and Hobby Lobby and find yourself on Pinterest quite often, our Boutique ministry is for you! Every Thursday, from 9am-12pm in the Multi-Purpose Room women of all ages come together to create beautiful items for our annual Holiday Boutique Sale. The proceeds go to benefit various projects in and around Peoples Church.
These wonderful women share their love of quilting by giving of their time to design and create quilts to be donated to local groups, charities and ministries such as The Fresno Rescue Mission and Teen Challenge. They meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month in the Multi-Purpose Room from 9am-12pm.
